PLTBK has produced various dance works and collaborated with various media. PLTBK actively participates in arts and cultural activities both at national and international levels.

One of the most renowned theater group, whose works have succeeded in being part of the social, political, and cultural dynamics in Indonesia. Teater Gandrik was founded in Yogyakarta in 1983, utilizing models and processes of parody and comedy from traditional theater, into modern theater forms as their aesthetic orientation. This model is effective as a medium for criticism as well as a catharsis of cultural, social, and political situations, in a humorous and reflective manner, without being offensive.
